Our candles are 100% beeswax and are hand poured

or dipped. Each candle has a salt bleached, self trimming 100% cotton braid wick.

We use wax cappings collected from our hives and from other local sources. This wax produces a high quality and clean burning candle.

We do not scent, bleach, or colour our wax as we believe it takes away from the natural beauty, aroma, and clean burning properties of a beeswax candle.

Candle Care And Tips

  • NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED.
  • Always place candle on a draft free level surface in the appropriate holder.
  • Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" on all beeswax candles.
Our wicks are self trimming, however sometimes the wick gets a little long. It's important to trim the wick during or immediately after burning your candle.  Trimming a cold wick may break the wick  making it difficult to re-light.
  • As beeswax candles age, a "bloom" will form on the exterior, this does not affect how the candle will burn and can be wiped off with a soft cloth.
  • Pillar Burning Tips:
    • We recommend using a pillar plate or pillar holder.
    • Pillars are meant to burn for extended periods of time. We recommend burning pillars for a minimum of one hour per inch in diameter to avoid tunneling.
    • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish. Avoid handling the wick once it has cooled or it may break.
  • Taper Burning Tips:
    • Use a taper holder.
Tapers should always be securely placed in a taper holder when burning.
    • For a dripless taper burn in a draft free environment.
    • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the candle flame mess free. Avoid handling the wick after it is cooled as it may break.
  • Votive Burning Tips:
    • Votive candles should only be burned in a votive holder. The entire votive candle melts when burning.
    • Placing a small amount of water (about a teaspoon) in the bottom of the votive holder will make it easy to remove any remaining beeswax once the candle has burned out and cooled.
    • Burn votives for one hour or more per session. Ideally a beeswax votive candle will burn best if left to burn entirely during one session, though often times this is not feasible.
    • The best way to extinguish votive candles is to gently push the wick into the wax pool until the candle is extinguished and then pull the wick straight. Avoid handling the wick after it is cooled as it may break.
  • Tealight Burning Tips:
    • Tealights should be burned in their plastic cups with or without another holder.
    • Burn tealights for one hour or more per session. Ideally a beeswax tealight will burn best if left to burn entirely during one session, though often times this is not feasible.
    • The best way to extinguish tealight candles is to gently push the wick into the wax pool until the candle is extinguished and then pull the wick straight. Avoid handling the wick after it is cooled as it may break.
